Hi Denise,
It doesn’t look like Lonnie answered this question. Jessie and Jason’s hearings were over earlier this year. Judge Burnett did not grant them a new trial. They are filing their next appeal in the Arkansas Supreme Court, where Damien is currently waiting to get a date for his oral arguments. Burnett is running for the the state senate. His opponent is the mayor of Blytheville, which is in NE Arkansas east of Jonesboro.

I think it would help if you read about the new evidence in the case as well as the original evidence in the trial that led to their convciton. Maybe a bit of indepedent and educated thinking might change your mind. There was little that tied these young men to the crime other than the thinking that since they might have had juvenile issues, they must be guilty.
